CRICKETING OF JEWS, CHRISTIANS, MUSLIMS AND HINDUS  

When Jews played cricket they had only one option for the dismissal of a batsman: to clean bowl.

When cricket came to Christians, they added two more alternatives;   ‘catch out’ and run out’ and they named it ‘Trinity Out’

Then the Muslims of the Arab picked the game and declared that ‘catch out’ and ‘run out’ are the fancy of Christians and retained the purity of dismissal by abrogating the ‘TRINITY’ mode of packing the batsman.

Eventually cricket came to the hands of Hindus. They were annoyed with the solitary approach of dismissal, so they applied their ‘Neti, Neti”process and invented more ways to send away the batsman to the pavilion.

As a result of their inwardness more approaches are experimented. Now, there are innumerable ways to send a batsman to the pavilion: Stumping, LBW,  Run out, Timed out, Play in, Handling the ball, Double hit, Hit wicket, Obstructing the field..etc. It is learnt that BCCI, the Mecca of Cricket is contemplating a few more ways to bundle a batsman.

THE CREATION OF ONE GOD

There were few gods in the beginning and as men grew in number, the number of gods too began to increase proportionately. One day the Jews of the Israel rounded up all the gods and put them in one pot and they began to call the pot ONE GOD.

Years later, when some gods escaped through the  pot holes, the Arabs of Mecca and Madhina caught hold of those gods  and ‘sealed’ them tightly   again in the ‘sacred’ old pot. They christened the pot “The Real One God”. Now we Have two distinct “One God” in the same pot.

CONVERTING TO ISLAM AND CHRISTIANITY AT A TIME

Christian: Dear Hindu brother, you better convert to Christianity, if you don’t want to go to HELL.

Hindu: After 12 noon I shall worship your Jesus.

Christian: What is before 12 noon?

Hindu: In the morning a Muslim also frightened me. He says I would go to HELL, if I don’t worship his Allah. So up to 12 Noon I have decided to be a Muslim and worship Allah.

Christian: And have you no appointments with your own Hindu Gods?

Hindu: Thank God, there is no Hell in the Hindu scriptures, so I need not to waste my time worshipping the Hindu Gods.

PEOPLE PRAY ACCORDING TO THEIR NEEDS

A farmer prays thus: Lord, let it rain heavily, so I may reap a fine crop and become rich. His neighbour, a Mineral water dealer also makes an appeal to God thus: Lord let it not rain for many more days, so that I may well flourish in my trade this year.

A doctor in his hospital prays thus: Lord, let many people fall sick as I need a lot of money. Meanwhile one of his patients in the hospital makes his earnest prayer: God, Cure me and my inmates immediately and save us from the greedy doctor.

A Lawyer prays: Lord, make the people fight against each other so that I could complete the construction of my new house at the earliest.

A Hindu saint prays: Lord take away all my needs from me.

WHY ALL THE RELIGIONS ARE SAME FOR A HINDU?

Muslim (to a Hindu); Have you read your Holy Scriptures?

Hindu: NO

Christian: Have you read Bible?

Hindu: No.

Muslim: Have you gone through Quran?

Hindu: No.

Atheist: Which is the best religion, according to you?

Hindu: All religions are same to me.

Atheist: Could you explain further?

Hindu: As I am equally ignorant of all of them, all religions are same to me.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN RELIGION RUNS DEEP IN A PERSON

When Christianity goes deep into a Christian, he becomes an evangelist.

When Islam goes too deep in a Muslim, he turns to guns and bombs.

And when it happens in a Hindu, he runs to a deep forest in search of spirit.

This running is known as ‘Aranyaka-run’

Searching for the Truth, the Hindu way

Once a boy went to the forest along with his father who is a Forest Ranger. The whole day he had to move through the forest in the company of his father and his subordinates.

On returning home in the evening the boy’s mother enquired of his son, ‘Dear son, have you seen the forest and have you enjoyed being in the forest?” The son’s answer came instantly, ‘No mother, since there are plenty of trees and bushes all around I could not see the forest at all.”

ALLOPATHY DOCTORS AND AYURVEDIC DOCTORS

“Do you know why the Allopathy doctors are richer than the traditional Ayurvedha Vedha doctors?”

“An Allopathy doctor treats the patient and cures a disease to create another disease in him, so the patient needs to pay his Allopathy doctor regularly whereas an Ayurvedha doctor treats the disease and regulates the patient’s entire system, so the patients stop visiting him altogether.”

HINDU'S HEAVEN AND HELL

Christians: God has created heaven for us and we shall be seated next to Jesus.

Muslims: God has created Heaven for us and Hell for Jews, Christians and Hindus.

Hindus: God hasn’t created any Heaven and Hell for us, so we have created ‘them’ ourselves on earth.

HOW MANY WAYS TO HEAVEN?

Christians: Jesus is the only way to Heaven.

Muslims: Belief in one God (Thouheedh) and the belief in Quran and the last prophet, Mohamed are the ways to heaven.

Hindu: All the human hearts are the ways to God, so there may be around 500 crores of ways to reach God.

GOD IS BEYOND DESCRIPTION

Christian: God is beyond our imagination.

Muslim: Muslims also accept the imperceptibility of God.

Hindu: I am working out my own imperceptibility, so the imperceptibility of God is only a second concern for me.

SLEEPING GOD

Christian: My God doesn’t sleep.

Muslim: Allah never sleeps, too.If he sleeps, who will look after the worldly affairs?

Hindu: My God also doesn’t sleep.

Muslim: I doubt the veracity of your statement because in Hindu scriptures we come across sleeping gods.

Hindu: You are right; when one god is asleep the other god is awake, so naturally the god doesn’t sleep and all the same he enjoys sleep. This is the split theory of sleeping.

MUSLIM FANCY?

A Muslim: The non-Muslims follow their own fancy in the matters of spirituality.

The Joker: And A Muslim follows the borrowed fancies of others in the matter of spirit.

WHY SHOULD A HINDU READ BIBLE AND QURAN

A Muslim need not to read other religious scriptures because Quran has abrogated all the previous scriptures. But a Hindu is supposed to read Quran and Bible because he believes that all religions are same.

NO HINDU PROPHETS IN HEAVEN

According to the source of Muslim Hadeeth, when Mohamed went to heaven he saw some of the Abrahamic prophets, but could not see any Hindu prophets.

why?

God did not create any prophets for Hindus. Prophets are exclusively created for Christians and Jews. Besides, even if a saint happens to pass by this material-laden heaven, he runs away from it in order to seek his own spirit.

GOD’S PROTECTION

Christians and Muslims ask God to protect them on earth. On contrary Hindus pray for the welfare of God, so they ask the God to take care of Himself in their prayers.

Cricket and spirituality

In a local cricket match  a man who had no idea of cricket was invited to bat as the team was short of a  batsman.The batsman was told to hit any way he liked but to see the three stumps are not blown by the bowler.

The batsman liked the idea very much and he surprised everyone hitting all around the ground for fours and sixes. But what surprised the batsman was the commentator categorizing each of his shots;-square cut,a square drive straight drive,forward defence,carpet drive,hook etc.

In Hinduism what you need to have is only devotion to God. When you go deep with your devotion  ,the (religious) commentators would categorize it for you as Dwaitha, Advaitha, Vishitadvaitha, Sagunopasana, Nirgunopasana  etc.

The Caste-crazed Brahmin

A rich haughty Brahman, who never associated with Vedic scriptures, became caste-pride in order to hide his Vedic illiteracy. He declared that he would not touch any thing that is touched by non-Brahmins. The family members had a tough time to deal with his issues. He refused to eat because, he knew the source of cultivation is the low caste non-Brahmins and who brought to the markets are Non-Brahmin Vaishyas. As a result some of the family members had to become farmers. The craze had gone to such an extent, his family members had to design a Pure Brahmin- car for his journey.

One day he thought that now it is time for him to read the scriptures. He ordered his family members to bring Vedhas  for him to read. Every one in the house was dumb-stuck.

“What is the matter?” Shouted the old Brahmin.

“We have thrown them out of the house”, they confessed.

“Why have you done this?-you will incur ‘papa’ ”

We are sorry to say that the Vedas are written by a fisherman called Vyasa.

The cast-crazed Brahman was shocked .However, not willing to surrender, he declared further,

“Get me the Bagavadh Geetha.”

“Sorry ,We threw it away  as it is scripted by a Backward Caste, Yadava, named Krishna.”

“Well, then bring Ramayana to read”

“ We burnt it as it is written by a Scheduled Tribe, Valmiki who was also a plunderer and a thief.

The Brahmin realized his folly and became a true human, a Sanathanadharmi

EVERYTHING IS CREATED FOR MAN.

The entire universe and the living beings in it are created for MAN only. Said the Christians and Muslims quoting their scriptures-Bible and Quran respectively

The atheist asked: “Is god also created for the purpose of man?”

Muslim invites a staunch Hindu to Mosque for payer

Once in Sharja, I and some of the teaching fraternity of a reputed school were passing by a mosque when the azan (prayer call) was given .One of our English staff who was a bit fanatic invited us the Hindus for the Muslim prayer.

We had a staunch Hindu among us who retorted instantly.

VEDANTA DOES NOT BELIEVE IN A SACRED BOOK                

Vedanta does not believe in a book. It denies the authority of any book over any other book. It denies emphatically that any one book can contain all the truths about God.

A MAN IS NO MORE WORTHY OF WORSHIP

A man is no more worthy of worship than a bird or a worm. I am exactly the same as the lowest worm. There is little room in Vedanta to worship a man-the man dragging us on and we being saved by him. Vedanta does not give you that. No book. No man to worship.

THE VEDIC GOD

Vedic God is not the monarch sitting on a throne. There are people who like their God that way-a God to be feared and propitiated. They want a King to rule them. They believe in a king in a heaven to rule them all.

THE GOD WHO SITS ABOVE THE CLOUD IS NOT THE GOD OF HINDUS

The god sitting up on a cloud is utter blasphemy and downright materialism. When babies think this way (God sitting in the cloud) it may be all right, but grown up man try to teach such things, it is downright disgusting. The sitting God is all matter, all body idea, the gross idea, the sense idea. Vedic God is spirit and He should be worshipped in spirit and in truth.

KNOWLEDGE OF GOD IS NOT CREATED

All knowledge is Vedha.Vedha is infinite like God. Nobody ever creates knowledge, it is only discovered. God exist in us and we discover Him. Vedha (Knowledge) is realizing the God-consciousness which is already in us.

SHOUTING THE SUPERFICIAL

There are many people who can talk and preach and make noise, but nothing superficial can bring us satisfaction. It is by living quietly and earnestly that we evolve true spiritual insight which enables us to find our intrinsic value.

Loud speech profusion of words and possessing skillfulness in expounding scriptures are merely for the enjoyment of the learned. They do not lead to liberation.

HOW MANY GODS FOR HINDUS?

Ø     Water schemes are many, water is ONE

Ø     Sources of happiness are many, happiness is ONE

Ø     Foods are varied, hunger is one

Ø     Gods are many, God- consciousness is ONE

How many water schemes are there?-rivers, oceans, seas, streams, wells, fountains and...Still more. Yet there is only one water scheme in the whole world. The water in an Indian well, the water in an African well and the water stored in your stomach, the ice in the Himalayas and the ice in Tom’s refrigerator are all destined to become one water-scheme though placed apart in piecemeal.

How many gods are there in Hindu spiritual scheme? “PLENTY”, but there is only one scheme of divinity that a Hindu experiences, that is, ‘God Consciousness’ or Chaitanya, in Sanskrit.

As river, sea, well, ocean, snow, lake, stream and pond together make ONE water scheme, all the gods mentioned in Hindu scriptures, real or fancied, created or existed uphold ONE “single consciousness” called Chaitanya.Even humans, animals and plants are the integral part of the divine consciousness scheme, according to the Vedha.

Now, you may ask this question to yourself- How many Gods do Hindus worship?

The answer is- CERTAINLY “not ONE”, neither TWO, THREE nor MANY, but ONE single consciousness which is neither HE nor SHE, but “TAT”

Hindus are not worshippers of distant- residing “ONE GOD”, but ardent Experiencers of Vedic type of God; Hindus’ God is an experience, not a bed time story.

Though we love one thousand people, we do not have ONE THOUSAND varied forms of LOVE; we rather experience only one ‘LOVE’ while loving all the one thousand people.Similarly, One hundred different situations might lead us to SADNESS, but there are no 100 types of sadness. Though gods are many for Hindus, divinity is One-Man can worship many gods, but he cannot experience many God-consciousness simply because consciousness is eternally ONE, existence is ONE and bliss is ONE.

that community. However, I suspect it is because they appreciate the

timeless and universal nature of our Hindu Dharma.

Aziz-Your dad is Catholic. Your mom, I believe, is Hindu. So does your

Hinduism flow from your mom? How deep is it?

Tulsi-I grew up in a multicultural, multi-religious household.My father is of Samoan/Caucasian heritage and he is a deacon in the Catholic church.

However, he also likes to practice mantra meditation, including kirtan. My

mother is Caucasian and a practicing Hindu.

Aziz-Are you a practicing Hindu?

Tulsi-Yes, I am a practicing Hindu. Some people are Hindus because they were born into a Hindu family, but may not have seriously studied or applied the Vedic teachings and practices. In that sense it's very much like many people in America who consider themselves Christians because they were born into a Christian family. But that's not my situation.I fully embraced Sanatan Dharma after serious deliberation and contemplation in my later teens -- it's not because my mother was a Hindu.I'm a Vaishnava in the Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Sampradaya. As a Vaishnava, my perspective of Hinduism or Sanatan Dharma comes from the Bhagavad Gita.I have been studying the Bhagavad Gita since childhood and have, especially beginning in my teenage years, been trying to apply the Bhagavad Gita's principles of karma yoga and bhakti yoga to every aspect of my life.  And of course I am very familiar with the Mahabharat, Ramayana etc.

On my two deployments to the Middle East, I daily practiced my japa

meditation and contemplating on the truth of the Bhagavad Gita. By doing this, I was able to achieve great inner peace, despite being in an environment of fighting and death. One of the first things I saw when I

arrived in Iraq was a giant sign at the gates of our base that read, 'Is

today the day?'I saw that sign every day and it was a constant reminder that today could be the day that I have to leave this world. This forced me to constantly remember and contemplate upon the truth of my eternal identity as taught in the Bhagavad Gita.

First thing in the morning and the last thing at night, I meditated upon the fact that my essence was spirit, not matter, that I was not my physical body, and that I didn't need to worry about death because I knew that I would continue to exist and that I would go to God.

Even though there is excitement that you are a Hindu American and when

elected to Congress will be the only Hindu American in Congress, you will first have to represent your constituency. How will you serve this community that has become so excited over the real possibility of having the first Hindu American legislator? More broadly, how will you serve, besides your constituency, the Indian-American community, particularly the Hindu Americans, who have supported your strongly with fundraising, etc.?

If I am elected to Congress, I will be representing all people of Hawaii, as

well as all the people of our country -- including Hindus, Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, everyone. The fact is, people of every religion in our

country want the same thing -- they want elected officials who know they

are servants of the people, and not special interests.Of course, since I'm a practicing Hindu, they also know that the more unique concerns of Hindu and Indian Americans are near and dear to my heart.

Issues such as the plight of Kashmiri Pandits and human rights abuses of

Hindus and other religious minorities in Pakistan are of concern to me.

Many people in America, including some in positions of power and influence, view Hinduism as foreign and even mysterious.

Lack of familiarity and understanding can breed fear and bigotry, so I

won't shy away from opportunities to increase understanding and appreciation of Hinduism and Hindus.

Especially in today's world where religious misunderstanding and intolerance are at the root of many tragic and unnecessary conflicts, we all need to do whatever we can to increase understanding and tolerance of all religions.

Why Should a Hindu Say the Food Prayers?

Brahmaarpanam Brahma Havir
Brahmaagnau Brahmanaa Hutam
Brahmaiva Tena Gantavyam
Brahma Karma Samaadhinaha

The act of offering is Brahman. The offering itself is Brahman. The offering is done by Brahman in the sacred fire which is Brahman. He alone attains Brahman who, in all actions, is fully absorbed in Brahman. (As we chant this prayer we are offering the different types of food to Brahman). 

Aham Vaishvaanaro Bhutva

Praaninaam Dehamaashritha

Praanaapaana Samaa Yuktaha

Pachaamyannam Chatur Vidam

This sloka is a sort of acknowledgement and assurance to us from Brahman. "I am Vaishnavara, existing as fire God in the bodies of living beings. Being associated with ingoing (prana) and outgoing (apaana) life breaths, I will digest all the four different types of food (that which we bite and chew; that which we masticate with the tongue; those which we gulp; that which we swallow) and purify them."

Oh Lord Hari, You are the food, You are the enjoyer of the food, and You are the giver of food. Therefore, I offer all that I consume at Thy Lotus Feet.

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA ON FOOD PRAYER

We should partake food with a Sathwic mind. Our ancestors recommended the offering of food to God before partaking. Food so partaken becomes "Prasad" (consecrated offering). Prayer cleanses the food of the three impurities; caused by the absence of cleanliness of the vessel, cleanliness of the food stuff, and cleanliness of cooking. It is necessary to get rid of these three impurities to purify the food. Pure food goes into the making of a pure mind. It is not possible to ensure the purity of the cooking process, since we do not know what thoughts rage in the mind of the man who cooked the food. Similarly, we cannot ensure the cleanliness of the food ingredients as we do not know whether it was acquired in a righteous way by the seller who has sold it to us. Hence, it is essential on our part to offer food to God in the form of prayer, so that these three impurities do not afflict our mind. The prayer:

HINDU DHARMA IS AN EXPERIENTIAL SPIRITUALITY

Sanathanadharma is fundamentally an experiential spirituality and strictly not a scriptural spirituality like many other cultic religions. In sanathanadharma Scriptures like Vedhas, Vedangas Upanishads, Aranyakas Dharshanas, Smritis, Mahapuranas etc are mere ladders meant for the inner growth of an individual. And if one is awaken to realize this built-in wisdom, the scriptures mentioned are of very little use, says Lord Krishna in Bagavadh Geetha.

Any amount of studies, preachings, lengthy talks, tall claims and discussions will not contribute to one’s spirit until he experiences and practices the TRUTH that he realized for himself. Now a big question puzzles us; what truth is to be realized? The scholars, writers and sages speak on this truth vehemently at large! What is that terrible truth they often dig out from the scriptures of the Hindus?

The truth is very simple-simpler than the simplest puzzle- “I am not a created being, I am a projected consciousness of the whole”.

 In Hindu dharma there are no creations. We are not created beings, but ONE projected consciousness spread over many physical bodies. Let’s take the example of water. One can find water in different containers-in an Indian well, in an American well, in a bottle, in your stomach, in oceans, in the coconut and.. elsewhere. Though they are stored in multiple containers, they have a tendency to become one when the containers are broken. Every life is uncreated and infinitely existing. We are not born, hence we shall not die, says Baghavd Geetha.I, you, he, she, it, that and they- are not many in number; they are the projection of ONE consciousness. Hence,Upanishad said, “we are God- God consciousness”- Aham Brahmasmi.

The ONE God  who has become many shall become ONE.

Where is the disharmony-When I, you, he and she are ONE? We are one being in different human bodies. Harmony thy name is Sanathanadharma.This harmony or oneness consciousness or the interconnectedness is the ultimate search of the modern scientists. Innovations in the field of Quantum physics is fast heading towards the Vedic concept of interwovenness.

A spiritual creed which recognized oneness consciousness, interconnectedness and interwoven ness among all the creations authoritatively declared that the entire living being is one family-Vasudeiva Kutumbakam.

Disharmony has entered human brain because we do not realize the nature of spirit. Our concern is the bottle that contains the spirit and not about the spirit that is in the bottle.

The ultimate truth the Sanathanadharma taught  through several of its scriptures is  very simple: one divine consciousness- i.e. YOU and I are one, though bottled in many. When I hurt you, I hurt me, when I love you I love me, When I destroy you I destroy me. This is the culmination of the highest possible harmony. Though some individuals here and there in the globe realized, it is the Hindu saints who declared it massively to the world. The people who declare the truth are the Rishis and I am proud to be the integral part of this Rishi parambara.

Mohamed in Bhavishya Purana: a Bird’s Eye View

In Bhavishya purana Mahamada appears in Parva 3, Khand 3, Adhya 3, verses 7 TO 27

ZAKEER PURANA OR BHAVISHYA PURANA

Mr.Zakeer Naik is of the strong opinion that the Mahamada referred in the Bhavishya Purana text is none other than Mohamed, the prophet of Muslims.

Here is the episode of Muhamada (Mohammed) in brief.

Bhojraja was a king who ruled the Kingdom in north of Bharath after Shalivahana, the grandson of Vikramaditya.

During his reign King Bhojraj went to the lands near and far in every direction in order to conquer the wicked race. Thus he added Kashmir, Afghanistan Turkistan and some other nations to his authority.

Verse 7-8 relates that King Bhojraja met a MLECHA religious leader Mahamadha (Zakeer says it is Mohamed, the prophet of Muslims) in the marusthal (desert region) after crossing the region of Sindhu.

After this meeting the King Bhojraja went to worship Lord Shiva.

 Performing the Banished to the statue of lord Shiva, King Bhojraja prayed to Lord Shiva thus: O lord!, who resides in the desert, You destroyed the wicked Demon by Name TRIPURA,but the wicked MLECHAS have become your worshippers.

Verse 10-27

To the prayer of King Bhojraja, Lord Shiva replied thus: This land (Arabia, according to Zakeer Naik) where you stand is polluted by the MLECHAS.There is no Dharma (righteousness) in this desert. The wicked demon whom I burnt into ashes rose again as Mahamada (Mohamed, according to Zakeer Naik). However, Mahamad obtained my benediction (may be by penance??). Do not go to that region, because Mahamada’s deeds are like of the ghost.

Mahamada was the incarnation of the demon, Tripura.

Bhoja raj left the region immediately and proceeded to his Kingdom.

Mahamada followed him up to the province of Sindhu.

Mahamada was an expert in creating illusions (Magic). Mahamada said to Bhojaraj, “Oh King, I have enslaved Lord Siva and you could witness it now.”

Bhojaraja saw Lord Shiva eating Mahamada’s leftover food. Later in the night Mahamada appeared in the form of a ghost and said to Bhojaraj,

“O King Bhojaraj, your religion is the best of all the religions, yet by the order of the Lord, I am going to establish a terrible and demoniac religion and enforce a strong creed over the meat-eaters.

 My followers will be known by their circumcised genitals, they will grow beard, make noise loudly, and eat all kinds of animals except swine without observing any rituals. They will perform purificatory acts with the musala, and thus be called musalman.

Thus, I will be the originator of this adharmic and demoniac religion of the meat-eating nations."

At the end of this episode, we see King Bhojaraj march back to his Kingdom and Mahamod went to his land.

Later King Bhoja raj established Sanskrit as a language in India.

WHAT IS THE CASTE OF THE FIRST BORN MAN

 WAS Mr.FIRST A BRAHMIN OR A SHUDHRA?

 

The Vedha says that man is an uncreated being and ever-existing spiritual phenomenon like the Supreme Being. The Christian Bible says that man is created in the image of God. According to the Hindus ‘eternity’ is the image of God and man is created in this particular image of the Almighty.

So it is evident that the first born-man to the last born, essentially, belong to no sect of this material world as they are mere projection and not creation. An ever existing consciousness (man) cannot be ascribed to any of the created castes of this material world.

Let’s analyze the caste of the First Born.

Could the first man be a Brahmin? No, because there was neither scripture for the Brahmin to learn nor there was anyone to be taught by him.

Could he be a Kshatriya, the fighter and protector? If so, who was there to be protected and against whom he had to wage the war?

And being born as a Vaishya, the trader!

There was no possibility for a trade since the’ Mr.First’ alone was the sole producer and consumer.

And there was no possibility of being born as a Shudra, the servant, since there were no Brahmins,Kshatriyas or Vaishyas to be served by him.

It is explicitly clear that caste is not born with the Mr.First or inherited by the later men, but was created by the selfish men in the middle.

Many non-Hindus believe that caste is an integral part of Hinduism. The truth is that Vedic caste was not based on birth culture, but purely based on three Gunas; SATHVIK (spiritual), RAJASIK (passionate) and THAMASIK (devilish ignorance).

In one’s life time one can be lowered to a Thamasik from the Sathvik or can be uplifted to Sathvik from Thamasik or Rajasik.

According to sanathanadharma, caste is purely a spiritual culture, not a birth culture. A doctor’s son cannot be born as a doctor with stethoscope around his neck, he has to be evolved as a doctor. A Brahman is not born, but to be nurtured spiritually.

The question remains:

If the uncreated Mr.First was a Brahmin by birth, the rest-born are all Brahmins.

Had he been a Shudra, then we would all be Shudras, naturally.

20 TWENTY CRICKET AND HINDU BHJHAN

Imagine a 20-20 cricket match that awaits a result from 2 balls. The runs to be scored are 5.The home crowd is set ablaze. They transform their desire to the batsman on the crease and immediately the batsman is awakened and he does the magic: the team wins.

The scene is shifted to a spiritual Bhajan-chanting of Hindus where they sing the praise of the Lord to their heart’s elate. Here, too, a transformation takes place, not from a person to another;it is rather intra-personal- an internal transformation: he awakens his own self ie.the Bhajan awakens the God consciousness in the singer.

Bjajan is a good opportunity for a common man to awaken his deep lying divinity and feel the bliss-SATCHITANANDAM free of cost.

Bhajan is not a trade between God and man: ‘Oh Almighty, if you give me this,  I shall believe in your greatness and you shall be worshipped.’ The Bhajan helps us to realize the oneness- consciousness that is spread among various creatures through a single thread.

The Hindu-wise men are trained to feel the same bliss by means of meditation, karma and realizing and experiencing the scriptural injunctions.

When we raise ourselves to the higher-consciousness, we become spiritual beings and when we lower ourselves to the material world we become human beings.

When the spirit within us is uplifted we realize the eternity. This is the realization of the Mahavakyas:

Aham Brahmasmi(I am God consciousness),

Tatvamasi (You are what you are searching),

Pranjanam Bramha(You are Consciousness) and 

Ayamathma Brahma(you are Brahma –God consciousness).
